Wheel adapter Idea
Been thinking about how to use hex wheels on the fronts of Tamiya 2wd... this is an idea for a bearing hub.

Holiday Buggy Driver
I've painted up and fitted Willy's head instead of the cowboy for my Holiday buggy. Was fun painting a miniature again with brushes :)

Tamiya Fleet so far
So here are all my Tamiya's together, my fleet :)
I'm very happy with the colour scheme I've decided on for these cars and I'm going to continue the combinations as I expand the collection.
Next on my list if a WR-02 Wild Willy 2 and then a Hotshot. Stay tuned.

Holiday Buggy 'Neo Beetle'...
I got the beetle shell all painted up in my colours today and threw some spare decals on it. The hud decal got a little crimped but it's okay. Overall I love it.

Neo Buggies are ready to roll...
These are excellent vehicles. Both are very capable club racers and a lot of fun to build. I can't wait to get some hop ups on to them.

The Build Space
RC's are taking over my house! .. I don't see a problem... well apart from maybe having to have all Yellow and Black tools :)

TT02B Neo Scorcher
Mine arrived a couple of days ago and I'm almost done with the build. I will be posting a short build post later. It's a great design and a cool looking chassis. Some parts a re bit softer then I was expecting but overall it's a great looking platform. I'm going to be doing a series of up dates to this buggy over time and will keep updating the blog as I go.
First impressions of the car are good. There are only a couple of things to point out. First would be the diff case screws, they are tiny and if not careful you'll strip them. I almost lost one but with patience I got the sorted. Granted I'll probably not be able to take it apart to service but that's okay. Speaking of servicing... The access to the main parts of the car are superb, you can get in dismantle, fix and assemble the rear diff case of the chassis in 60 seconds.. it's a total of 9 screws..zippy quick. Moving on from that good stuff is a slightly concerning thing, the plastics. Most are great, the chassis tub is excellent as are the arms etc, but the suspension towers are uber bendy, not sure if this is a design feature to make it more durable but they are very very soft. So are the front and rear skid plates, these double as suspension pin holders and are again quite soft.
Time will tell how it handles. Most of these areas of concern will be replaced with hop-ups in the next few weeks and I'll have a nice club racer by the end of it.

Bashing the Blitzer!
Went out this morning to a running track/football 'field' very close to me to thrash the Blitzer around for the first time. It's a great place to bash around and is only 5 min walk from where I live. I say field cos the surface is actually a very fine gravel, almost sand. Around the main field is some rough stuff that's perfect for driving on.
No pics of the car I'm afraid but will have some soon.
This place will defiantly be where I'll be driving the most. It's just so close :)

Blitzer Finished!
Yup.. got the shell all masked up and sprayed. Most of the stickers are on. This was the first time in 20 years that I've used Tamiya stickers and I'd forgotten how sticky they were. Got em on not bad though, very happy..
